Finder & Recovery Rules
Licensing / Registration
Certificate of Registration from the Director of Commerce required for anyone recovering unclaimed funds for a fee; violations are criminal (ORC §169.13).
Fee Cap
10% cap on the total amount claimed (ORC §169.13).
Waiting Period
Fee agreements entered within 2 years after the holder's report is filed are invalid (ORC §169.13).
