Finder license required: since Jan 1, 2026 anyone acting as a finder must be licensed by the administrator (765 ILCS 1026/15-1302).
Fee Cap
10% cap — fees above 10% of the amount collected are unenforceable; assignments yielding finder profit above 10% prohibited (765 ILCS 1026/15-1302).
Waiting Period
Agreements are void from the date of presumed abandonment until 24 months after payment or delivery (765 ILCS 1026/15-1302).
