Registration required since July 1, 2024: Claimant Designated Representatives (CDRs) providing locator services must register with the Dept. of Revenue (O.C.G.A. §44-12-224, SB 103).
Fee Cap
30% cap on total fees and costs; excess is reduced and the balance remitted directly to the claimant (O.C.G.A. §44-12-224, as amended 2024).
Waiting Period
Agreements to recover property are unenforceable for 24 months after payment or delivery to the commissioner (O.C.G.A. §44-12-224).
